Will Wallop make a bang?

Time to join the buzz wagon and talk about the cool, new Flash-based social network Wallop that went live yesterday. I first learned about it reading Techcrunch post on it and recommend checking it out since it will save my copy-and-pasting.
The gist is Wallop…
- is an all-Flash competitor of MySpace and Facebook
- let’s flash gurus (designers and developers) sell their flash widgets and animations in a marketplace called “Mods“
- looks really cool and places a strong emphasis on a rich experience
- is an invite only community (like gmail) but you can request an invitation as either a user or a Mod developer (I did both)
- is a Microsoft spinoff and has received $13 million in VC money
I believe and hope that this site will help usher in a richer, more interactive trend for web 2.0 sites. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Go see it at Wallop.com or visit the company site Wallop Corp
And to read other words on Wallup head this way…
